Idle tycoon games like AdVenture Capitalist, for Android

Comet Barn · · 4 min read · Billionaire Bay: Idle Tycoon

If you liked AdVenture Capitalist, the idle tycoons that build on the same loop are Idle Miner Tycoon, Idle Restaurant Tycoon, Idle Theme Park Tycoon and our own Billionaire Bay. They all start you small, let managers run things while you're away and reward starting over; they differ in what your businesses are and how much each one asks of you.

An idle tycoon is the game where a lemonade stand becomes an empire while your phone sits in your pocket. AdVenture Capitalist set the pattern most of them still follow: buy a business, hire a manager so it runs without you, come back to a pile of money, and every so often throw it all away for a bonus that makes the next run faster.

Every game below follows that loop. What separates them is what you are building and how much there is to do between collecting. Download counts and descriptions are from each game’s Google Play page on 7 November 2026. Billionaire Bay is ours.

What does AdVenture Capitalist do that the others copy?

AdVenture Capitalist, by Hyper Hippo, has more than 10 million downloads on Play. You start with one lemonade stand and work up a ladder of businesses, each costing more and earning more than the last. Its listing now leads with the Capitalist Ladder, a rank you climb with BizXP, and an empire that doesn’t stop at Earth.

The part to look for in any of these games is the reset: giving up a run for a lasting bonus. A reset that is worth taking is what keeps an idle game going past the first week.

The big three that change the setting

These keep the loop and swap the theme, with a manager or a worker at every station:

  • Idle Miner Tycoon (Kolibri Games, more than 100 million downloads): a gold mine waiting for managers, and its listing says it can be played offline. The largest game of its kind on Play.
  • Idle Restaurant Tycoon (Kolibri Games, more than 5 million): a restaurant with chefs and staff, then more restaurants in locations around the world.
  • Idle Theme Park Tycoon (Codigames, more than 10 million): a small amusement park whose attractions each get a manager who runs them for you.

If you want AdVenture Capitalist with different scenery, any of these will do.

What does Billionaire Bay do differently?

Billionaire Bay is our game, so take this section as the maker’s description. It is small and new next to the others, and it does three things they don’t:

Each business plays its own way. You take orders at the Food Stall, run shifts at the Café, send Delivery vans out on routes, bid on Builders contracts, take on Studio briefs, age casks at the Brewery, set room rates at the Coral Bay Hotel and keep the Chrome Motors lot stocked. A manager takes over each one when you’ve had enough, so it still plays as an idle game.

There is a market beside the businesses. The Exchange lets you buy and sell shares and fictional crypto coins with your in-game money, with booms and crashes. It is all pretend money: nothing can be paid in or cashed out.

Prestige moves you somewhere new. When the offer is good enough, you sell the whole empire for Legacy Stars, spend them on perks and research, and start again in a new region: the Snowy Fjord and the Desert Oasis each change the rules. The beginner’s guide explains what a sale keeps and what it resets.

It keeps earning offline, with no internet connection, up to a limit shown in the game. Ads are rewarded ones you choose to watch for boosts, and the few purchases are one-time payments. Get it on Google Play.

Which one should you play?

If you want the biggest, most polished version of the loop, Idle Miner Tycoon. If you want AdVenture Capitalist’s own humour and its trip off the planet, stay with it. If you get bored when every business is the same button with a different picture, try Billionaire Bay.

Questions

What games are like AdVenture Capitalist?
Idle Miner Tycoon, Idle Restaurant Tycoon and Idle Theme Park Tycoon keep its loop of businesses, managers and offline earnings with a different setting each. Billionaire Bay adds eight businesses that each play differently, a stock and crypto market with in-game money, and selling the whole empire to start again in a new region.
Which idle tycoon games work offline?
Idle Miner Tycoon and Billionaire Bay both say on their Google Play pages that they can be played offline. Billionaire Bay keeps earning with no internet connection and gives the earnings when you open it again, up to a limit shown in the game.
What is prestige in an idle tycoon game?
Prestige means giving up your current progress for a lasting bonus, so the next run grows faster. Most idle tycoons have it in some form. In Billionaire Bay you sell the whole empire for Legacy Stars and spend them on perks and research before building again in a new region.
Is there an idle tycoon game with a stock market?
Billionaire Bay has the Exchange, where you buy and sell shares and fictional crypto coins with in-game money beside your businesses. Nothing in it is real money and nothing can be cashed out.
