Card Table: Gin Rummy & Cribbage
Who we are
Card Table: Gin Rummy & Cribbage is published by Comet Barn. Comet Barn is a brand of Hamperpick Ventures LLP.
This policy explains what information Card Table: Gin Rummy & Cribbage (“the game”) handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies only to the game; the Comet Barn website has its own privacy policy.
Information stored on your device
The game has no accounts and does not ask for your name, email or other personal details. The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- Your settings, your record of games and hands, which tips you have seen, how many free games against Medium and Hard you have used, what you have bought, and how many tips you have given
Backups
Like other app data, it is included in your device’s backups (in iCloud or on a computer) if you make them, and it comes back when you restore one. Those backups are kept by Apple or on your computer, not by us.
In-app purchases
You can buy the Full Table, which unlocks the Medium and Hard computers, the Looks Pack of decks and table cloths, and the Board Pack of pegging boards, each paid once, and optional tips that unlock nothing; none of them is a subscription. They are sold through the App Store: Apple takes the payment, and we never see your card or payment details, your name or your Apple Account.
To know what you have bought, and to restore it on another device, the game asks Apple on your device. No other company is involved. Apple’s sales reports to us include no name, email address or other contact details. Refunds and billing questions are handled by Apple. Apple’s handling of payments is covered by Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Links to other websites
The rules screen links to pagat.com, which opens in your browser. The game sends that site nothing. We don’t control other websites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle information; they have their own privacy policies.
Crash reports and statistics from Apple
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers on your device, Apple may give us crash reports and statistics such as how many people installed the game. These do not identify you. The game itself contains no crash reporting or analytics code. You can change this choice in your device’s Settings, under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
How we use information
Information is used only to:
- Run the game and keep your progress on your device
- Give you what you bought, and restore it
- Answer you if you write to us
- Find and fix crashes
Sharing
We do not sell or rent information about you, and the game contains no advertising, analytics or other code from other companies. It sends nothing to us or anyone else, so there is nothing to share; we would share information only if the law required it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Deleting the game deletes everything it stored on your device; copies in your own backups stay until those backups are deleted. Offloading it (in Settings → General → iPhone Storage or iPad Storage) keeps its data until you reinstall it or delete it.
Apple keeps its records of your purchases as needed for receipts, refunds and the law.
To ask about or delete any information connected to you, email support@cometbarn.com.
Children
The game is suitable for people aged 4 and over. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included: there are no accounts, ads, chat or tracking, and nothing is sent from the device. Children should ask a parent or guardian before emailing us. If we learn that an email came from a child under 13 (or under the age of consent where they live), we use it only to reply once, then delete it. A parent or guardian can ask us at support@cometbarn.com to delete any message from their child.
Security
The game itself sends nothing over the internet; purchases go to Apple through the App Store. What it stores stays on your device, and in your own backups if you make them, where your device’s own protections, such as its passcode, apply. Keep your device and Apple Account secure, since anyone who can use your device can see what the game stores.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom, India or California), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because the game sends us nothing, the only information we could hold is an email you sent us. To make a request, email support@cometbarn.com; we will answer within the time the law where you live requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will also be noted in the game’s store listing.
